Program overview

  • The Player Development program's philosophy is to emphasize player development and focus on the technical development of each player.

  • The Player Development Program will be designed for the player who wants to develop his or her skills with other players who want to advance their skills also. Training sessions will be fun but also fast paced to keep all players active in the sessions.

  • The Player Development Program will not be for all players, assessments are held to determine which players are ready for the advanced training of the Program.

  • The Player Development Program will be open to boys and girls U6, U7, U8, U9, U10 & U11.

  • Groups will be divided by age; U6 - U8, and U9 - U11.

  • Players sessions will be held once a week by professional trainers. Soccer Genome will be providing the training for the FWSC Program. Training sessions will have a player/trainer ratio of 12 to 1 or less.

  • This is considered a supplemental program and registration will be held prior to the start of the fall season and then again before the spring season.

Mission Statement

The aim of the Player Development Program is to first and foremost ignite in all players a passion for soccer. For instance, every coach involved in the YAKS/FWSC Player Development Program aims to create a learning environment that caters to every individual’s needs. By coaching with a high level of energy and having empathy towards each individual, we create a learning environment where every player can flourish. The Player Development Program will teach the players the value of hard work. We strive to develop each athlete’s mindset so they want to master the ball and instill discipline in all the players, as discipline is the root of all learning.
